I thought that My Way the showcloser is of the june 26 concert and not Can’t Help Falling In Love, what useally the showcloser is/was
The June 26 concert was ended with Can’t help falling in love. Got the playlist and cd.
I,m sure the King know his time had come listen and look at his face he knew the end was near.Yet he still entertained us this man is amazing
Very touching song.
I guess that Elvis knew deep in his soul that he no longer had to life.

you ought to have a bit of respect joefurzton, this is one of the founders of rock n roll, he has influenced so many artists – probably a few you listen to.
Its really sad listening to the lyrics, knowing he died a few weeks later, he did do it his way.

col and elvis where given a fee of 750,000 for this concert with a once off rebroadcast,cbs with the footage they had put together the 2 cities together as the best of footage they had,tbh i dont think there was much else elvis could do,he played in every city in america i think he should had played in europe earlier if he had the chance

i remember being a teen driving hearing he died..such a sad day..my mother just saw his last concert in our area.. he will ALWAYS be the King

This is not elvis’ last concert. This concert was a few days earlier. At this concert he ended with can’t help falling in love. The last concert was at june 26 1977. At that concert was this song the last song and 6 weeks later he died. It seems like that he knew it. RIP Elvis.

He was also a very human person, with human faults and emotions. I think that is what endears him to so many people, it goes beyond the voice and songs.
I agree….Elvis changed the way music was performed and brought a whole different genre of music to people…he has been the inspiration behind so many bands and musicians with John Lennon having said ” If there had been no Elvis, there would be no Beatles, ”
His voice was getting better as he got older, my favorite songs of his are the songs he did after his ’68 comeback special…He was like a fine wine, got better with age.
Watching this, you would almost think he knew then end was coming….It is like he is saying his good-bye..
So sad..but so lovely.
Still the best ever!
